Hauppauge Eagles and Huntington Honor Moms with a Thrilling Lacrosse Showdown

In a thrilling lacrosse game between the Hauppauge Eagles 1st/2nd Boys Team and Huntington, both teams battled fiercely, providing fans with an exciting display of athletic excellence. The game started with Hauppauge falling behind early, but they quickly responded with two quick goals from Charlie Radonis and Christian Bullock, stunning the opposition and giving the Eagles a 2-1 lead. However, Huntington was not willing to back down and equalized the score before the end of the first quarter, setting the stage for a fierce showdown.


The second quarter saw Huntington take the lead with a well-placed shot, but Vinny Calvanese answered back, smashing the ball into the net to level the score at 3-3. The third quarter was a heart-stopping affair with Christian Bullock scoring his second goal of the game to give Hauppauge a one-goal lead. Henry Biondo made some outstanding saves, protecting the lead, but Huntington fought back and tied the game once again at 4-4, setting the stage for a nail-biting finish.


With the game on the line, both teams gave it their all in the final quarter, but it was JJ Carbone who stepped up to the plate, slamming the ball past the goalkeeper to put Hauppauge ahead. The stadium erupted with cheers as the Hauppauge faithful celebrated their team's heroic efforts. However, Huntington was not ready to give up and managed to tie the game once again, bringing the score to 5-5.


As the clock ticked down, both teams fought tooth and nail to secure the victory, but it was Huntington who managed to break through Hauppauge's defense, scoring two quick goals and stealing the win 7-5. The Hauppauge players were devastated, but they knew they had given it their all and left everything on the field.


Parker Mannino's relentless hustle and determination caught the eye of Coach Radonis throughout the game and earned him the coveted MVP of the game award from Coach Radonis.


Additionally, Coach Radonis also awarded the game ball to JJ Carbone for his hard work in the midfield and his critical play when the team needed a goal. Carbone's contributions were essential to the team's performance, and his impressive display earned him the recognition of his coach and teammates.

On a beautiful Mother's Day afternoon, the Hauppauge Eagles took the field with a little extra pep in their step. They had a special surprise up their sleeve to honor the moms in the stands. After the game, each of the Eagles' players handed out a gorgeous rose to all the mothers in attendance, thanking them for being the "True MVPs" of the day. The moms beamed with pride as they held the roses, and the players couldn't help but smile too. It was a fun and heartwarming moment that added even more excitement to an already thrilling game.
